Yet another starting problem, 87 240 DL

I got my car about a month ago, and I have realized that on several occations when it's raining the car won't start. I turn the ignition, and absolutely nothing happens. Nothing sparks, engine doesn't try to turn over, I don't even get power from my brake lights when depressing the brake. As soon as I jump the car it fires up perfectly and runs fine again. I've checked the battery and it's fine, so I can't figure out whats causing this. Again, this problem only occurs when moisture is present... distribution cap maybe?

Can't see that it can be the distributor cap as you have no power to anything by your description. I would suggest that it is a battery problem, especially when it starts with a jump. Have you checked/cleaned all battery connections, particularly the earth/ground leads where they attach to the body? Also check that the engine/transmission earth/ground lead is intact and connections are clean.
