850 ABS unit replacement

Post by mdwalker86 »

I need to replace the ABS pump on my '93 850 GLT non-turbo. Does anyone know about interchangeability of pumps from other years? It seems like Volvo part 0 265 205 010 is the one, but want to make sure. Also noticed that Mat offers rebuild units. Mayber that's the way to go. Need to know soon as driving without rear brakesis more excitement than I need on the Washington DC beltway.

Mike

ABS pump or ABS module? I know matty moo sells the modules refurbished, as they commonly fail due to weak solder points... Not so sure about the pump, however.

The ABS system, be it pump or module that you need, from a 94 or 95 model should be compatible as well.

I bought an used ABS Pump Assembly ,including its Control Module two year ago as spare part for my 1995 Volvo 850 GLT and I do not longer require it.

If you find it is compatible with your car drop me a line , but first to be sure take your VIN number and go to a Volvo dealer, request from them the part number for your ABS Pump -Hydraulic Unit- as it appears in their catalog.

Just in case these are the numbers I got from the assembly I have:

ABS Pump
Volvo 9140933
10.0202-0194.4

ABS Control Module 3 x3 770
ATE Controller 10.0941-0411.4
9401542 Volvo
Control Unit ABS/BTCS

Howdy,

Regarding ABS pump 9140933...do you know if it's working and leak-free?
How much dough for it?

When I bought it was pulled out from a working car that was parted out.
I checked it for leaks and not seeing any and cables and connectors are in good conditions that is why Ikeep it. Asking $65 plus S&H via UPS from Texas. It is a heavy part that weights almost 14 pounds.

Tomorrow I am going to take a few pictures of it and I will send them by email.

My email is [email protected].

Thanks,
