960,1993 no spark while ignition

My volvo 960 model 1993 timing belt broke and i had to change the 24 valves and timing belt and tensioner.Now the car is not starting and on checking while I turn the ignition on the current in the spark plug comes only once .whats the problem?

VIN No: YV1964956R0037241.
ENGINE No: 152815.
MODEL Ref: 964-9534-262 .

There should be two wires bolted to cylinder up top by the fuel injector rail. If these ground wires are not connected that will give your symptoms.

When the key is turned the ignition, the engine sound comes and turns once and no current after that.

An issue that can affect these motors is when you put back the cam sensor ring at the rear of the exhaust cam you may have inserted it incorrectly due to the lack of visual. Pull it back out and see if the locating lug is bent.

Also make sure that both ignition modules on the either side of the inlet manifold are securely plugged in. Have you tested for spark at different cylinders?

Does the motor sound like it has good compression? Were the cylinder walls oiled well upon re-assembly?
