V70 Heater blowing hot and cold

Post by Degsy V8 »

Hi, my V70 2005 estate heater has started blowing hot and cold for about 5 seconds each all the time - there is a noise which sounds like an electric motor moving back and forth all the time - I'm assuming that this is causing the hot and cold air, it's probably controlling whatever it is that should be allowing hot air only - any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks Degs.

IF something gets dropped into vents it can get in the way of a door and the door can't get to where it is commanded and it tries by doing a full range motion check. This can also occur when the damper motor is faulty.
go to full range hot, wait 2 minutes and then go to full cold and wait 2 minutes and then return temp knob to desired temp and see if the temp regulation settles down.
