Lowering 2003 V70 AWD w/o nivomat

Post by Scotty-G »

Hi all,

Has anyone successfully lowered a 2003 V70 AWD? I've looked at the forum, parts supplies and don't really see a definitive answer for this model. Are the strut/shock configurations on the AWD the same as the FWD? Some say yes some say no.

Thanks in advance.

FRONT struts and springs are the same for all, the REARS are AWD specific
Eibach used to make AWD springs, not sure if the do anymore

I've been searching online for the same answer and so far nothing definitive, I plan on attempting V70R lowering springs. Though the R model shocks are 4-C, they mount up to the rear lower control arm the same way the AWD V70 shocks do, visually the lower spring seat size also looks the same. On a FWD V70, the rear springs seat differently and would NOT work. I'll report my findings if I go through with the V70R lowering springs.

Plenty of options for an R ,TME (IPD), VIVA perfromance, etc.
A V70AWD uses the same dimension shocks and strut
