Fastest wiper speed is still relatively slow (despite fix!)

Hi all, a while ago during a rainstorm I noticed my wipers were pretty slow, even at their fastest speed. I did some research and located the repair procedure here, at https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... 2&start=14

This writeup was excellent by the way, and just like everyone else I noticed the left side wiper shaft had dried grease and some corrosion. I took the whole assembly apart, cleaned it, removed all corrosion, and regreased it with a good bearing grease. Afterwards the wipers were a bit faster (although how do you make an accurate comparison, really), but in another rain storm I went through yesterday, I noticed that my fastest wiper setting is about the same speed as other cars' medium speed. I had to slow way down to allow the wipers to catch up and clear the windshield, while other cars were passing me as if it were a light drizzle.

Is there a tweak or fix for this? Is this a "normal" feature of these cars? (2000 S70 2.4 na)

Oh before anyone asks, my battery is only a year old and in good shape.

It's normal - they just suck. "Fast" is like "normal" on other cars.

Rain-X is amazing.
