1999 T6 Popped Dipstick even with Replaced PCV System

Hi,

I have a 1999 S80 T6 with about 130k on it. This past winter I had the PCV system replaced after the dipstick popped--spewing about 3 quarts of oil all over the engine compartment. Everything had been fine since then, till today I discovered that the dipstick had popped again, again spewing oil everywhere (but not as much as before).

I have no idea what the cause could be since I so recently had the oil trap replaced. The car was in for an oil service yesterday, but could have that have caused this?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe a plugged ptc or a collapsed vacuum elbow.

Are those things that would affect performance of the vehicle? The car seems to be running very well, in contrast to the time before when it had a very rough idle and was getting terrible gas mileage.

What is the 'ptc'?
I just had the same thing happen. The history is identical to Tunbridges experience/scenario.
It happened when I punched it on the freeway and dropped down one or two gears.
This had happened before I had the dealer renew the PVC system. Grrrr..
The engine runs fine otherwise. Could it still be blowing by badly on one or more cylinder when the turbos 'kick in'?
