I just bought a 2012 C30 T5 Premier Plus. Great car so far; a blast to drive. The Premier Plus package comes with daytime LED running lights in place of the fog lights. Upon delivery, the LED running lights did not work no matter the position of the light switch. The owners manual says that in the "A" position, the LED lights are on during the day and the headlights are off. At night, the LEDs are supposed to go off and the headlights come on. At the moment, the low beam headlights are on during the day and the LEDs are never on. I took it to the dealer and they puzzled over it for a while and finally downloaded some software that now allows the LED lights to work, but only in the "0" position. At night, the switch must be moved to the "A" position to make the headlights work. The dealer is telling me that the owner's manual is wrong but I find that hard to believe. They had a C30 R-Design car in the shop today and its LED lights work in the "A" position like the manual says.
Any ideas? I sent an e-mail to Volvo North America to see if they can sort this out. Apparently the LED running lights on the C30 T5 are new for 2012. The dealers don't seem to be up on this as C30s are still a bit rare.
