It's not the ign coil for me as I get spark. Like I said, if I beat on the fuel pump while someone is cranking it, it will start.
Called Erie Volvo and no dice, they don't have any used pumps for me. Guess it's new :\
Dead, just.... dead... * Found problem! *
l33tdad, Please clarify something for me. Is the fuel pump accessible and removeable from a hatch under the carpet in the trunk or under the rear seat? Is this correct? I want to know for future reference just in case I have problems.
Thanks.

Yea, on my car it's right behind the right-rear seat under the carpet. There's an access panel that's about 8" in diameter.steve wrote:l33tdad, Please clarify something for me. I had a very similar condition and it was my CAM POSITION SENSOR
(1994 850 wagon), I was able to pull up the code to tell me that was the problem.
I just had a fuel pump go on my bmw and it was instant. ran one second and next time it wouldn't start, so fuel pumps can go bad with zero warning
so I would check to see if there is pressure at the fuel rail also, You can check that in less than a minute. Maybe fuel pump relay or fuse
Make sure all your ground wires are good
???do you have any anti theft devices???
