T5r Cluster And Diagnostic Socket A, No Cluster & Faulty Dia

My 850 T5R cluster doesn´t work properly since I bought the car.
I´ve got No RPM, NO Speed NO Fuel and NO temperature indication. You turn the ignition key and engine starts up fine. All indication bulbs work fine and Engine check lights turns on and doesnt quit .

Got the Dash cluster out and back connections are fine.
Noticed because of summer high temperatures that the black plastic on back of cluster is deformed. I guess according to S60 Forum it might be Voltage regulator
or IC chip leads.

Iam getting a quote on a new Dash belonging to a 850T5 I guess its the same as the T5R Dash, anyone has a clue .........?

I went to check the codes and I´ve got a problem with diagnostic socket A. I put the jumper into A7 and push the black button for one second but the red LED light DOESN´T BLINK back information.
It also happens with A6 also.
In the other hand IT DOES blink me back the codes with A1,A2, A3 AND B2,B5,B1.
A1 gave me 2-3-2 (Speedometer signal missing) A3 gave me 4-4-4 (ABS) No power to valves in hydraulic system.

I,m trying to avoid the Volvo dealer as 1 hour of labour in Spain by the Volvo mechanic is 95US$.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

It sounds like you have a ABS module problem. I would fix that first to see what problems you are left with.

You may also have an ignition switch problem. Ignition switch powers a lot of things.

It really is not uncommon to have several problems at once with older cars. People just keep letting one thing after another go bad before they get rid of the car.

BTW, the local Volvo dealer here charges about $145 per hour.

Looks like after cleaning the vehicle engine bay My 850 T5R cluster is getting better.
Now RPM flicks as also Fuel and temperature gauge. I turn the ignition key and engine starts up fine. Engine check lights turns on and Service blinks.
I went to check the codes and I´ve got a problem with diagnostic socket A which red light also flicks.(Before it just didnt do nothing)
I,ve replaced ignition switch and problem still there. I´ve checked the battery negative okay, dont think its the ABS module, more to me Dash or some wire in vehicle is faulty. But where´s that Wire ?????????

Hi there fellow 850T5R owner in Spain!! I have no idea how many there are here, I have only seen one other, Cream Yellow, ours is black. Where are you located (approximately)? Maybe we should start an owners club!
