add MBC to 850t or not

How to go faster, stop quicker, and turn harder. Chips, exhaust, larger turbos, bigger/slotted/drilled rotors, high performance brake pads, manual boost controllers, performance shocks/struts/springs, airbox mods and more! Also discussion on HID and Xenon lights, aftermarket foglights and other exterior lighting.

add MBC to 850t or not

Post by phils94850 »

i added a MBC to my other 94 850t and it really woke her up. The 850t i have now is still all stock basically. I turned the wastgate rod in about two turns to help with take off.

Ive read mixed reviews on adding a MBC. My boost gauge ( factory ) goes just a bit into the white. If i add a MBC and get a aftermarket boost gauge, whats a safe boost level to turn it up too ? Im planning on getting a tune soon also.

I wouldnt go over 12PSI. make sure you have a good boost gauge before doing it. you dont need a mbc. I just used the wastegate rod.

+1. im running abour 10-11psi. remember @ 14ish you will hit fuel cut with the stock ecu. so @ about 10-12psi your safe and still getting some extra power.
