98 S70 fan relay for a 94 850?

Hello all,

I have had some trouble with my radiator fan and I believe the relay is the problem. I would rather not pay the $60 for a new one and after buying a bad one from the junkyard my friend is parting out his 98 S70 and I wondered if it would work on my 94 850? I have read the thread on the subject, tested the fan, my temp gauge still seams to function at all temps, and I grounded the switch leads to the relay and nothing happened. I don't think it is the thermostat because it never gets hot unless I'm stuck in traffic. Thanks for the help.

The relay from the S70 should work just fine in the 850.

Ask your friend if you can try it first. Its very easy to access.

I used the complete radiator, fan, shroud and relays from a '98 v70 in my '93 850. It was a direct swap and everything works great.
