I was given a steal the day it went down. Got a 2004.pontiac sunbird. In mint condition for less than half the blue book from a young lady I work with. So I was thinking of striping parts that will fit my 94 Na before scrapping it. JD if you are interested the pic with my account is it. Will get interior pics if you want it's got one rip on passenger seat and a bubble hanging on the headline in back. Other wise it is pretty much perfect paint and body are great all lower seals are brand new. Recently rebuilt turbo. New iac, new MAF, etc. my wife and I decided to cut our losses with it. I am gonna give the Pontiac to my daughter next year and get a different Volvo. Thinking about customizing a 240

I'm also curious about the brand of the water pump as I will be doing timing belt maintenance on my car.

I have heard of people with over 250,000 on their original water pump.

Did the pump EVER leak? Or just fail?

To replace the head, gasket kit, tools, timing belt stuff, etc., would likely cost about $1,100 out of pocket if you did the work yourself. I'm aften sadden to see a Volvo 850 in the yard but gravity will have it's way.

Nice hanging in there. Glad you'll still be around.

I will still be around. I still have a 94 NA, which my son drives, that could take a nuclear blast and keep running but always needs a little maintenance. I will have another in a year just not sure what I want. I would love to restore an old 1800.

Sorry about taking so long to get back to everyone. I finally got to talk to the person who had the wagon before me and it was an autozone special pump. He did the whole timing belt service at 158k and changed everything. I guess he should have kept the old pump on it. It still lives on most on the parts are on my 17 year old sons 94 na.
