S60 coolant leak

Post by rschmutt »

Hey,

I have a 2001 S60 T5 and its leaking coolant from the back left of the engine (on the left if you were sitting inside the car)
There is no coolant in the oil or oil in the coolant and there is no leak coming inside the cabin so it cant be the heater core. Ive checked all the other hoses as best I can but I cant see a leak.
On idle it drips, give it a rev and it pours out!

My local Volvo specialist says its the O-ring from the connecter that feeds coolant to the turbo, does this sound right? He says the part is about $3 but it will take a few hours in labour to install it.

Its booked in for the end of the week and I just want to make sure im getting the right info

Thanks

I had a similar leak and the fix was the o-ring. This happened while the car was under warranty so I don't know how much labor was.

Hi all,

Turns out it was one of the heater hoses that split so it was an easier fix and a lot cheaper too :)
