2011 s-60 balder wheels on 2001 v-70

Post by DBULL »

I have found a "deal" on a set of new car takeoff Balder wheels(17x7) and tires(215/50x17) from a 2011 s-60.Does anyone know if I will have any issues putting these on my 01 v-70 which presently has 16x6.5 and 205/55 tire? The bolt pattern appears to be the same but I'm not sure about the hub diameter and the offset.Any info will be greatly appreciated.Thanks...DBULL

After a bit of research I have discovered that the 2011 balder wheels have a bore of 63.4mm and that my 2001 v70 requires a bore of 65.1mm.This can be remidied by increasing the hub bore slightly. My next question would be how deep into the existing bore to increase this diameter into the balders.I would assume just enough to clear the hubs on the v70.Anyone?

you are going from 205x55x16 to 215x50x17- taller and wider.. The tolerance would be too close.
A 215x45x17 would be a better fit, IMO.
