I just bought a 1990 volvo 440. Everything works great, except the engine temperature gauge doesn't really work. It seems like it is always on cold (L). If I drive it for 40 minutes, maybe, it came 1/4 of the way from "L." but if I drive for only 15 minutes, it barely comes off of "L".
I am use to cars driving with the gauge right in the middle of L/H. Is this a problem. Will it hurt the engine if I don't fix it. It has the right amount of coolant.
