My cherished 960 has been on sorn and garaged for nine months and have been running my v70. I have been starting and letting run the 960 for about twenty minutes every few days and ticks over and accelerates as normal with no issues. Yesterday i went to turn it over and the Lambda warning lamp stayed on.
I am aware of what the Lambda sensor is and what its function is but can the sensor be giving out a false reading because of the lack of road use. Is there anything i should check and look at first before purchasing a new sensor. Perhaps the damp/wet weather conditions are a factor. Any body out there had similar experiences. Cheers.

That light means a bit different thing on that car. It means the fuel system has detected a fault. It could be lambda sensor but it could also be a number of other things.

Have you checked for fault codes? It is easy to do on the '94 model.
