Oil leaking from back of motor
I have a 2002 V70. I have oil leaking from the back of the motor above the oil pan and dripping and burning on the exhaust. It happens when the RPM's get up around 4500. I washed the back of the motor down, then took her for a ride. I got back and put her up on ramps and crawled underneath. It seems to be leaking from some sort of a hole up on the block that is 8 inches directly above the oil drain plug. Does anyone know what this hole is. I see no other signs of oil coming from anyplace higher then this hole. Thank you for your help.

Is the V equipped w/ a turbo? You have to specify so the gurus could diagnose prob. better. How many miles on the clock? If you could post a picture of the hole u were referring to, the better.

She is a non turbo with 183k on the clock. The hole is angled up and big enough to put my pinky in about an inch. I'll try to get a pic to post. Thanks for your quick response. This is driving me crazy. Other than that she purrs like a kitten.
