Not as wide as worm type. This clamp comes off and clicks back on with little effort. I used angled long nose pliers to work these.

Who sells these all stainless steel?

I repeated valvoline and wiping with cotton swab a dozen time. The swab was caught in rotating thing inside, leaving a dust of fiber. I am sure there are few that did not come out.

I am putting it back together today to drive and pick up the PCV parts from Volvo on monday.

The flame trap housing has a gash, it could have been someone's first time at the Volvo service in 2006.
Nonetheless, after few spray of WD40, followed with gentle wipes, I was able to see the notches. Seeing the assembly drawing of parts, I gently grab the shield with a long nose pliers, minor wiggle, and pulled.

The shield looks cleaner after it sat in WD40 for 10 minutes. At third spray of citrus, it was placed on a white paper, notice particles drained out. I shined the light from behind the paper. Not bad... it looks mostly open now.

Is it clean enough?
The plate appears to be made of copper like metal. Is the greening on hinge an oxidation, any concern?
Cleaning flame tarp assembly would leave droppings on throttle surface. I will wipe off dust before putting it back together.

My next step is taking out few last items before accessing the PCV components, but I have this hose connected to a nozzle on inlet manifold below IAC. It travels toward the airbox, and then disappears below the airbox.

The clamping ears face inward, and odd place to grab it. It is a reusable type. The visible length of hose looked fine once i removed the grime mixed with oil sitting on it.

What to expect when handling this hose?

Parts look really clean. I read that you should not spray in the IAC with the motor end down, avoids the spray cleaner from getting inside the motor. Also, the throttle body has a coating on it that throttle body cleaner will not strip off. I wouldn't worry about the green rusting stuff.

Not sure where that hose goes. I did not know those cose clamps were reusable.

The reuse would make these clamps cheaper after two ties.
I am putting it back together this afternoon. If IAC fails I will know why, what are the symptoms?
This exercise tells me I could remove the two 12mm bolts, one holding the dipstick bracket, reaching from the above. It opens just enough space around the inlet man.

I have read through several PCV post, cn90 takes notice of this hose in his write-up, but nothing more. So far it is smooth, I am not looking for a gotcha moment?

Many thanks for watching me go through these steps.

There was idling hiccups for a moment at a stop light, but recovered after two. So far IAC functioning at 800RPM.

My progress at the close of the day.
I am working from the above, removing fan assembly made ALL removals painless.

The second 12mm bolt under the inlet man attaches it to a bracket. A 10mm bolt fasten the bracket to the engine block. Without it removed unbolting oil separator was impossible.
once bracket was removed, oil trap box bolts are easy access
