Weird keyless lock problems.
Weird keyless lock problems.
Hi Volvo family, I have a new 2012 S60 and can't seem to get the keyless lock to work properly. The doors will only lock using the pressure pads in the drivers front door or the trunk. The other 3 doors must use the key fob to lock. All of the doors unlock with keyless (which is what I have them set to do). I have had it at the dealer 3 times and no resolution. They have replaced the control module for the locks and updated the software. With the new software update now the passenger front window only has the 1 option of manual roll down (the 2nd press of the window button doesn't activate the auto that rolls it down til you stop it). I'm afraid this all sounds petty and crazy but I'm at wits end and would appreciate any input. Thank you!

Take it back to the dealer. Any pad should lock the car and set the alarm. It's possible you have a bad KVM (keyless vehicle module) and they need to do a better job of diagnosing the antennas (there are 7 in the car--five external and two internal), as well as a better job of checking the door modules (DDM/PDM). The windows aren't automatic anymore because they forgot to calibrate them after they replaced the control module. If they still can't fix it, call Volvo customer care--they respond very quickly to repeated no-fixes like this.
Good luck!
