2007 C-70. Oil leak and oil filter info please.

Post by TCsNicNac »

Hi, I recently purchased my first Volvo. It's a c-70. There is a slight oil leak which appears to be coming from the side on the engine where the oil filter probably is. (I assume the oil filter in on the side of the engine which faces front, but I haven't been able to actually see what I would recognize as a can oil filter.) I could use some advice on changing the oil filter, and hopefully solving the slight oil leak. I removed the plastic shield under the engine, cleaned everything, and snugged up all bolts on oil pan etc. There were all tight and didn't appear to be the cause of any seepage. The oil sender sensor does not look like it's leaking either.Thanks.

Oil Filter is accessible from under the hood. its Black and plastic with a large nut on it. It is next to the intake manifold toward the front of the engine.
