Driving over to Gatineau Airport, QC for the air show this passing weekend. noticed that the rear driver's side door was not fully locked. Parked the car, sure enough, it was not slammed all the way in, but it didn't trigger the alarm. Tested with all the other 3 doors, all have the alarms. then noticed the doorside light(the rectangular red light on the door rim) on this door was not working too. the bulb is fine.
anyone knows where is the relay/fuse or jumper on the 99 S70? i checked fuse boxes, didn't see anything.
The locking latch still works both from remote or local, so does the window...
thanks
Andrew

There is a microswitch on the door latch. Before you do anything drastic spray WD-40 or some other spray light lubricant into the latch opening on the back edge of door. DO this liberally. If the linkage to the microswitch is sticking this may take care of it without the trouble of removing the door panel and various pieces needed to get latch/lock asembly out.

The latch assembly is an all one component that includes the
latch mechanism itself, the door open/close switch and the
lock actuator motor. That switch is buried in there.
I'd try the shot of WD first.
