How do I get to the Throttle body on XC-90

Hey,
I'm a new owner of a 2005 Volvo XC90 and found this awesome site! It has been running great since I bought it but now its starting to surge a little when Idleling. I was taking a look at it and the throttle body seems be way down there and hard to get to. I took it to the local garage and they said they would clean it for 100 bucks and it would only take about 30 minutes. If someone could tell me the quickest way to clean it and any special tips would be appreciated.

Hey I am trying to do the same thing. Did you ever get a response. I have already changed my fuel filter and spark plugs and now I am facing the throttle to clean it.

you can do it from under neath with a little bit of patience. Easiest way in my experience is to remove the intake manifold.

Can you give a description of shoot video/photos of this, I hadn't thought about underside access. Your help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. My idle is getting much worse.
