1987 740 gle wagon fuel filter

I need the strength of hercules to break free the fuel filter. Spent a few hours and no success. Used pb blaster had the good wrenches and nothing. I changed the fuel pump and the car runs so much better. I would like to change this filter. Any sugestions?????

Did you remove the filter and inline main pump along with the mounting bracket to get better access to the filter?

Yes, I removed all of it. In fact I changed the pump while I was at it.
