This is not a picture of my actual engine, but a pic I copied from someone, so thank you. I need to know what this hose with the crimp in it goes to. On my 1996 850 Turbo, the bottom of that crimp is gone, so I need to replace it, but got curious as to what it attaches to. It is a box on the pasenger side wall that has two some kind of maybe computer modules in it, the hose comes from the radiator housing to this box, but it doesn't seem to mess with my vacuum system even though it has a quarter sized hole in it. I can't find this box or the hose mentioned in my repair book. THe box is out of the picture in this shot, just the corner is showing right in front of the white fluid reservoir.
Obviuosly I'm kind of a novice at this, but I'm working on it. Thanks for any education you can give me.
what is this hose leading to? 850 Turbo 1996

It is a vent hose for the ECU (computer) box. Air comes from the cabin, through the box, and vents out the front. Just repairing it with duct tape is fine, or pick up another.
