96 960 heater core replacement directions
96 960 heater core replacement directions
i'm going to attempt to replace the heating core in my 96 960 are there good detailed instructions somewhere? I had a quote of $1050. from a garage... sounds pretty involved.....

This is a huge job. You have to take the dash out, and get to the "suitcase" behind the center console. I paid about $1300 to have my s90 done.

This is for the 850....
If I were you, I'd locate a Haynes repair manual from a local auto part store and it will be all you need in addition to a video.
The 850 was actually easier than this video made it out to seem as I didn't need to take the glove box apart like he did. But whatevz....

Well, I attempted with a Chilton Manual. I could not find all the screws. I found a lot of them...
Be very careful around the Airbag module. remove the neg battery cable then disconnect the SRS. Take the glove box out, then you will see the module behind. Disconnect it. KEEP YOUR CURRENT AWAY!!!! And leave the neg cable off until you are done!
