please help with timing issue..... i think im crazy

Ok I set the crank and the back of the cams rotated the gears as far clockwise as I could, put the belt on and still no good. No interference but will not start and cranks over like its still out of time. Any suggestions?

You might need to loosen the three bolts on the vvt pulley. With the gear marks lined up the VVT pulley on the inside should be rotated fully clockwise. Once you've done that, lock up the three small bolts on the pulley.
