Thankyou for posting this list. Goes to show exactly how specialised car repair can be, though I'm certain that half of them can be fabricated cheaply or substituted with good 'ole ingenuity!!

Nice list of specialized Volvo tools.

However, I'd say 95% of the tools listed are not needed for the average Volvo owner, who only needs:
1. OBD-II reader...and
2. Any special mechanical (non-computerized) tool can virtually be made using one's creativity.

On the same topic, I'd like to know what everyone would say is a Volvo-only tool, i.e., a particular job can only be done using a particular Volvo tool and no other tool found on earth!

In my to-do, it is 9995457 Subframe Bushing Press Tool, see page 5, for which I have not found a substitute. At aZone, there are tools from OEM, and O'Reilly has another.

I called the 800 number, anyone can buy Volvo tool. It may take a week to get it, so plan ahead.

Not sure but I would bet there is not a red hot market for those tools. I might call him up and offer something like $140 shipped, will certainly fit in a USPS flat rate box.
