2007 Volvo S60 Audio - New Center Speaker Broken

Post by samcoffeeman »

Hey,
So i did a very successful audio upgrade. I replaced the HU-650 with a Alpine HD bluetooth aftermarket head unit. I also installed an ASWC to work with the factory steering wheel controls. Everything is working fantastic, the sound quality is unbelievable. I recently purchased a OEM center speaker for the dash but it is not working. I inspected the wiring and it looks like that speaker is separate from the others in that its wiring goes through the other harness that carries the power and antenna wires. If anyone can verify that, I'd appreciate it. I say that because the wires going to the speaker are grey/red and grey, and I have two wires coming into the power harness that are grey/red and grey and do not connect to anything. I'm looking for suggestions on how to connect these wires to get the proper sound from my center speaker.

Ok, so i called crutchfield and I was correct. They told me to splice those wires with one of the front speakers. Shazam! 9 speakers of brilliant sound.
