Hi
I am replacing the radiator in my 98 C70 (I bought it damaged and am slowly fixing it up), and I have come to the turbo oil lines. I have never owned a turbo before (I have a n/a v70), and am not sure what these lines are for. I guess the turbo has its own little coolant/oil system? If so, how do I top it up after a radiator replacement? If not, what is in it? Just another trannie oil line?

what you are seeing are oil cooler lines, use the regular oil supply for the car no need to add anything else-I would use new clips with radiator clamps over them as a belt and suspenders method, if one of those comes loose bye bye oil
Thanks.
These arent present on my N/A, so if I understand it correctly the engine oil is pumped through the turbo and then into the radiator on turbo models?

There is a secondary tank, inside of the radiator tank, for the oil cooler. It is isolated from the coolant so that the two don't mix.
The oil is pumped out of the bottom of the sump pan, not directly from the turbo.

I second the new clamp idea. I just finished a rebuild of a 98 v70xc and did NOT use new clamps. lets just say it takes mere seconds to empty the contents of my freshly filled crankcase. lesson learned
