240 won't crank
240 won't crank
Very recent new battery and alternator, and my 240 won't crank. Everything, (connections, grounds), looks good, but after getting gas one day, the car wouldn't start. Before I start to remove/replace the starter, what other items should I check? I seem to recall a relay for the starting system, and a fusible link, can anyone tell me where they may be, and how to check them? Thank you in advance

As far as I'm aware there is no relay nor a fusible link in the starter circuit.
There are two checks you can run before pulling the starter motor:
The first test also applies to the 1992 model. The second test is usually done with the starter on the bench but I have done it with the starter still in the car.
Bill.
