Kenwood DDx 418 install and amp

Well, heres an update.
Today I grounded the parking "switch" ( spliced into the unit ground) and video/dvd/ipod video can be watched now, so my kid is mega happy.

Since it was a test, now (as soon as I have some time) will solder all the wires, and check the front passenger side speaker which is not working..

One question though, the dash speakers are no working at all, the connector wiring only provides for 4 speakers, any tips??

Your adapter harness should consist of two plugs with a set of white and gray
jumpers that run from one to the other. Those are the dash connections.

The dash speakers are on the second connector with the power hookups.
You remember that thing you did with the speaker connector?
Do it with the power connector, too.

Ill double check it, bit it looks exactly like your pic although theres four pairs of wires from the smaller plug. The OEm radio had an antenna like plug ( smaller) that I believe in the radio says Sub..

Should only be two pairs jumping.
White is Front Left
Gray is Front Right

Small antenna plug is for the diversity tuning
used in the higher end OEM radios. Ignore it.
