I need a good volvo owner's manual

Hello - I purchased a used 1990 240DL and it didn't come with the owner's manual. I have a chilton that i use, but am wondering what info i am missing from not having the owners manual. I've looked online and it's a bit overwhelming because there's so many types of manuals and I can't tell which one to trust. If anyone knows a reliable website where i can purchase a general, basic owners manual, let me know! Thanks so much. Hil

Try looking on ebay. Many venders there sell used owner's manuals. If you go to a few wrecking yards, you might be lucky enough to find one in the glove compartment of a wrecked car. Good luck with your search.

Or buy one from volvo. I particulary reccommend the wiring diagram, a little pricey but the best wiring diagram I have ever seen. Will really help with the bazillion relays, where grounds are etc. about 27$

If you require the owner's manual supplied with the vehicle and you live in the US go to:

Once on the site, register and you can download, free, all types of documents for most Volvo cars. Unfortunately, they do not have the owner's manual for the 1990 240 but they do have them for the 1989 and 1991 model years and they will cover yours.
