850 T just die

1995 850t just die while driving. will not turn over at all. Battery is good, I notice that when I connect the battery without the key in, certain lights on the dashboard come on. Where should I start looking first. PUZZLE

Check your grounds, and jiggle the ignition switch.

Agreed. Put the key in and jiggle the ignition switch. It is common for the electrical portion to wear out and show symptoms like that.

I have driven with bad ignitions for years and never had the car just die while driving. The first thing I would do is check the oil, do you have any in it? Sounds like the motor is locked up. If the motor is not locked up then you have a major electrical problem, like the battery cable snapped off.

You say it's not turning over at all, what does happen when you turn the key? Does it crank or is it totally silent?

Did you check the oil? Also, does it give a click when you turn the key? Also, try to turn the motor at the crank.
