My cel just turned on. I went to Auto Zone for there free diagnostic check. The code P2402 was found. It did not have the volvo listed but I guess it's the same issue as the other cars shown. To my understanding its the evap leak detection pump. I called the dealer and the cost is high for the part. I would like to know if anyone has the OEM part number and exact name. This car has been really good to me, I'm kind of bummed that something has gone wrong. I do take care of it well

Hi, I am new to Volvo but I have had similar codes on previous vehicles.
A) yes you can still drive the car. This is an emissions control code. It will not effect the mechanics of the car.
B) I would check your gas cap before the more expensive items.
Did you get the code cleared? Autozone should be able to do that for you, and let the car perform it's normal drive cycles to see if the code comes back after the gas cap is checked (look for anything around the seal like cracked rubber and wear marks where the seal doesn't sit right on both the cap and the filler neck of the tank.
hope this helps.
