Climate bulbs all out?

Post by priapism »

I pulled the climate panel to change out some bulbs...turns out I had the wrong ones.

I also set off the airbag light because I got lazy and didn't disconnect the battery. Now the whole panel is dim. All the connections seem to be good. Any ideas? The SRS light has been reset, but the panel is still dark.

some folks have lost the whole CCM function, by removing it without disconnecting the battery.

disconnect both battery cables, touch the - and + cables together for about 20 sec. That should clear the modules memory.

Reattach the battery and see if that fixed it.

the only other option is to take to the dealer and have them reload the software

Turns out the new bulbs all blew out. At least that's what it looks like, they were all dark when I pulled the unit out. I put new (again) bulbs in there, no dice.

I'm thinking there's a short somewhere. What could short out from working on it without disconnecting the battery? I'd think the fuse should pop first.
