I just sold my big red 94 850. Stickshift, black leather. They just do not make cars like this anymore. I had it in the classifieds here. Sold it on CL. Would have been a great project for someone. I bought it for $3800 six years ago, just sold it for $1100, about 50k miles later with no major issues I had to deal with. I was just worried that something was going to come up.

THanks for all the help along the way. I will now be in the other part of the forum for my 2006 v70!

Used car values have really gone up. If everything was in good shape $1100 is a great price. We bought a 98 Jetta 6 years ago for $4,000, sold it for $2000 plus got a $1400 insurance claim out of it so around $3400 out of it total. $600 for 6 years and 50k miles. Can't beat that!

Both a blessing and a curse...great if you have to sell a vehicle, but bad if you want to buy something made in the last decade. A 2006 Camry or Accord still goes for $12000-15000 these days.

Just read the ad with the bad tranny, $1100 was definitively fair, not a steal, you did good as the seller IMO

My 1998 V70 FWD, non-turbo 5 speed is likely to become available once I repair a burned exhaust valve. The car has 241K miles on it, but a used engine with 58K was put in last April. That engine now has about 11K on it since installation. New clutch was done with the engine swap and the various repairs/issues over the years are well-chronicled on this site.

Sweet driving car. The only reason I'm thinking of moving it on is because when the valve went, I needed a car immediately and couldn't devote the time to repairing the '98 right away.

Repairs are likely to be completed within the next month.

I'm in NJ.
