Do you think i can just take a hose connect it to the metal vent and cut a little from there euro hose and connect them with a piece of plastic pipe in the middle with 2 clamps? cause there's something wrong with the way that thing sits on there and its just impossible with the incorrect clamp. if any one can give me a website with some heavy duty t bolt clamps or the ones were they got the screw and bolt so u can get good torque. Please i need something quick!!!!
Shrug. A piece of heater hose MIGHT fit that top port, but it's not going to bend well.

The problem with other clamps is there just isn't a whole lot of metal for that hose to hold on to.

I feel like they intentionally made parts of this difficult.

well i solved the problem. my boss tapped the vent hole out, to make threads on the inside, and got a screw in 90 degree pipe and a couple brass couplers and some otiker clamps and were the euro hose comes off were the metal coupler is inside the hole we took it out and connected it to the copper coupler. so i can pretty much still put on the valve cover but i guess he made a hairline crack when he tapped it so we had to cut a little of the vent and then we tapped it and it stayed. Its just gonna have to be a permanent fix for the rest of the cars life. I will have to keep buying euro hose cause the Volvo hose doesn't come apart. Anyways i just hope it stays with no leaks and its a perm fix and no more messing with hoses on that stupid vent :) When i get a chance and find my camera i will take some pics.

Pics of the tapped vent. Still gotta see how the cover fits. Just been leaving it off for now.

You'll find that some people don't bother with the spark plug cover anyways. When maintaining an almost 20 year old car, don't be afraid to use a little "artistic license".
