850 water pump replacement

As I am planning to change S- and T-belts tomorrow on my 850, 2,4, 10V, NA, I shall also take that opportunity to replace the water pump as I do not want to re-do the same job in a couple month or so, eventhough she is not loosing any coolant.
However I could not find any explanation nor drawings on this in the "wunderbar" manual that Made in Japan brought to us.
Is there any difficulty changing that pump or any particular point I should pay attention to?

i just did mine. it was the easiest part of the job. The haynes manual I have said to use some type of volvo hydraulic sealing compound on the bolts, the parts store guy said just use blue rtv, which I did and it does not leak, hopefully this was not a huge mistake.

It was a little tight to get out I did a lot of patient twisting.

If you change the cam seals, make sure you get them in perfectly square. Take the time to cut a piece of pvc the exact size of the seal and tap very gently. If they are in too far or not square they will leak.

If you car is the least bit dirty, do a good degreasing prior to removing everything, you'll be much cleaner and happier.

On the genuine Volvo pump the bolts that come with the pump have the sealant already on the bolts. Not sure about the other manufacturers, you'd have to ask.

Changed mine out, hardest part was cleaning the old gasket off the block, You can't get in there to easily, I had to get some out from the top and some from underneath the car, Use a mirror to see to make sure you have all the old gasket off as it is recessed in a little

FCP Groton carries German made Hepu pumps for about 50 USD or ~40 Euro's. 60 Euros includes VAT?
