I Need Help Removing 850 Wagon Tail Lights

Post by DrewsT5 »

Good Afternoon,
As my title states, I need some assistance in removing my tail lights on my 1995 850 wagon. I searched on the forum but couldn't find any specific directions.

I assume I need to remove the interior plastic molding (near where the speakers are) to get to the bolts. But how much of that molding needs to be moved out of the way? I don't want to start prying off a bunch of it, with all the old brittle pins, if there's an easier way to get the bolts.

Thanks for your help.

To remove the upper tail lights you will need to remove the inside molding pretty much all the way. If I recall correctly the stuts of the taillight have 8 mm nuts. Start with prying out the section that holds the speaker. The remaining molding has clips that aren't as brittle as the tailgate cover. Good luck.
