I have a 2005 v50 2.4i and am waiting for the fuel rail pressure switch to arrive in the mail. It seems like an easy install, but because it says "pressure" in the part name I figure there may be more to it. If anyone has any tips or can direct me to a good instruction page, that would be great.
Thanks,
Mike

TX25 screws hold it in. If possible change it after engine has not run for several hours. The fuel pressure will drop and very little will escape or risk spraying you if it has been off for hours. The fuel pressure sensor is sealed with an o ring that will come on new part and will be on the old part removed. The electrical connector has a tab you depress to unplug it. It has to be pushed firmly and you should know it is unlatched by feeling and maybe hearing it click.
I successfully installed the new FRPS and it worked great for 1 day. Now its doing almost the same thing. when it first starts seems as though its starving for fuel until it either dies or slowly starts to gain rpm's. Then runs fine. I need to clear the codes and check it again. Any ides of what could be causing the issue?
