So yeh, engine light on, weird hesitations, some light surging...runs rough, will almost die sometimes while idling....some of the behavior mimics what I've read about a "throttle module" (?) that gets funky, and also possibly a software update for that piece, (tho lame Galpin in Van Nuys said that was NOT needed, but they suck)...in any case, Galpin wants near $300 to even hook the thing up to their reader, and sorry but that seems a little nuts...
What do you think as a first move?
thanx!

Pull into an auto parts store, probably a chain one like Advance Auto or Autozone, and have them read the code(s) for free. Then report back here with the fault code number(s) (and description(s), if their scanner gives you the description). At least get the code number(s).
