Volvo S80 2001 2.9L NON-turbo - Where is the MAP ?

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Volvo S80 2001 2.9L NON-turbo - Where is the MAP ?

Post by wv_wiggie »

I have looked almost everywhere and I can not find the MAP. Is it under the computer or on the gas tank ? It has
been said that it is a 5 minute job... and help would be greatly appreciated.

I thought it stands for Manifold Air Pressure in which case its probably somewhere on the inlet path.

look on a rubber hose (lower) that rest between the radiator and the intake manifold the sensor actually clips on top of hose and penetrates the hose as well. it does have a wire harness attached to it. hope this helps. also pull up what the part looks like for your year this will help you visually identify it.
