I bought a 1995 960E 2.5 M90 trans. Needs some work. One of the things is the speedo doesn't work but the Rear sensor and ABS is working. Have tried with a different instrument cluster and nothing .
Any imput?

How did you test the sensor?
One of the main causes of failure on this type of speedo is at the sensor connector which becomes oxidized. There may also be a metal wire seal on the connector which has been known to cut through the connector and into the wiring.

Work was good - retirement is better.

if the sensor didnt work ABS light will come one and if i remove the plug in trunk (from the sensor) and put a multimeter between the two from the sensor it generates a voltage like it shold so and it indcresses the higher the speeds are.billofdurham wrote:How did you test the sensor?

also the ABS light comes on and stays on until i plug it back in
