Where are you in Tennessee? I'm in Knoxville. The ETM problem takes many forms and your problem could indeed be an ETM.

Thanks madeinJapan for your comments. In fact i do not live in knoxville anymore, i used to live there for long time but i had to move to the other side of the world.

If it was an ETM i think i have to get a CEL or ECU light on, well, i am not getting that, in fact i am not getting any errors, even after i ran a OBDII scan i got some error about the ABS system, and the driver side airbag , nothing more.
The reason i think it is a tranny problem is because prior to this i used to have problems with shifting and i noticed that the tranny oil is kinda burned.

well i am still checking and i am welcoming any suggestions.

Thanks

Depending on mileage you should really consider having your transmission (if it's not to high) flushed with fresh ATF. BTW, you can't use regular stuff...you either have to use Volvo ATF or Mobil-3309 ATF for your car since it's an auto 5 speed.

If your ETM is starting to fail it does NOT necessarily throw a code
It's either that or your transmission (or both), take your choice
