I've had my 2001 S60 non-turbo for about 3 years now, and I have just been plauged with problems. Now I'm facing some engine issues. When my engine is warm, and I'm stopped at a light, the engine randomly jerks (Feels like a random misfire). This happens 1-4 times and the RPMs bounce down about 50 revs each occasion, you can feel/hear the engine shake when this happens too. This also happens in drive and reverse, but only around low RPMs (driving slow without using the accelerator pedal). When in neutral, my RPMs behave in away similar to a failing ETM. Sometimes when in park the car will rev and idle near 1500 RPM. However, I higher RPMs my car behaves just fine.
There have not been any lights on my dash signifying an issue. I replaced my plugs yesterday, and reset the computer. Is there anything I can try to rule out the MAF or a Coil pack as the problem? I heard something about unpluging coil packs 1 at a time while the engine is running? What about MAF sensor spray?
I won't have time to drive to the dealer and check for stored codes until Friday
EDIT: I am also using 91 Octane, and it is not bad gas.
