I'm looking at a 2.5T with 110K miles on the odometer, Tbelt has not been done. I need to not have to work on the car for about 45days....
When I looked this up in VIDA, it said 75K miles (or 10 years) for timing belt and tensioners. Elsewhere it says 120K miles.
Thoughts?

Here's an excerpt from a generic maintenance schedule that I found a long time ago for all 2006 Volvos. This is the maintenance to perform at 120,000 miles. Notice timing belt is at the bottom, with some caveats for certain vin codes.
EVERY 120,000 MILES
" PCV: INSPECT CLEAN NIPPLE AND HOSES
Turbo models only except S40/V50
– Serviceintervalafter first service for all turbo models is
every 45,000 miles. No service required on engine VIN code 68.
• Maintains proper emission control
" FUEL FILTER: REPLACE
Fuel filter is not replaceable on models identified by engine
VIN codes 38, 39, 64, and 68.
• Maintains clean fuel system and helps maintain engine
operating efficiency
• Avoids potential expense of replacement of fuel system components
" TIMING BELT, TENSIONER AND IDLER PULLEY: REPLACE
All 5-cylinder models.
– Models identified by engine VIN codes 39 and 64 sold in
California, Massachusetts, Vermont, New York and Maine
are classified as PZEV vehicles. The timing belt and tensioner
replacement interval for these vehicles only is 15 years or
150,000 miles. For service intervals beyond 150,000 miles,
consult your authorized Volvo retailer.
– Maximum replacement time interval for all engines except
engine VIN codes 39 and 64 is 10 years.
• Helps avoid belt failure while driving

Yep. 04 2.5T AWD. 123K miles.
Although its going back to the dealer and things might get interesting....
It's going back for a power steering leak we agreed would be fixed however, we also agreed that alignment would be corrected and it wasnt. Now they are giving me the old chesnut "well it gets inspected before sale...".
Well their inspection must have been a rush job...
Alignment is off (I can change lanes without steering input) and steering is off center.
Oil is overfilled up to the bend in the dipstick.
Transmission dipstick broken, so I guess they didnt check that either.
We'll see how it goes, they are a dealer with a decent reputation but if they keep telling me it was inspected or give me the runaround on the aligment I'm going to get pissed off fast. Overall the car is decent, timing belt marked on cover as being done at 118K, but if I thought I would have to mess around like this I would have saved 2-3K and bought privately.

I guess you're off to a shaky start. My 2006 2.5T AWD XC90 has been very reliable, and almost trouble free. Hope you get those problems resolved with smooth sailing afterwards.
