Which brake pressure sensor?

Post by Dutchvolvo »

Hi All,
I own a 2005 S60 and have an antiskid service req message.
Testing at the dealer show an error on brake pressure sensor 2. The volvo dealer does not know which sensor is 2.There are two pressure sensors in the master brake cylinder. Any one here know which of the two sensors is number two, front or rear?

Thanks .

I have run into the same trouble on an '05 XC90. I have yet to test them but from what I have read in the forums is that they could be interchanged and to test them both to determine which sensor is actually faulty. I hope to check mine this weekend, time permitting, and will post results.

Looks like it is the front sensor. Saw this anly after looking very close:
Looking close at the master unit a figure 1 and 2 can be found on the side.
Still to replace it.

Try this simple task. Replace both 30 amp fuses with new ones. It may fix your error messages. Both fuses are found in the engine compartment.
