Scan Tool for 1993 Volvo 850 GLT Sedan

I have a "Check Engine" that came on and has stayed on ever since I removed the Mass Air Flow sensor and cleaned it.

Does anyone know what scan tool is compatible with the 1993 850 that can identify fault codes and erase them when faults are fixed? Also, where do I connect the scan tool?

I am moving your post to the 850 forum but in answer to your question, the scan tool came with the car.

The '93 model is pre OBD-II and it has a DTC error code reader boxes marked A and B under the hood, more or less next to the windshield washer fluid bottle.

We had our own version with more information but the link is now dead.

On a '93 you need to read the codes in ports A-2 and A-6.

Like lee said...being an OBD I,your car have it's own scan tool under the hood.

Your "scan tool" would be a pen and a piece of paper to write down the blinks.
