Power steering pump

Hey All does any body know where i can get a p/s pump? (94/850 turbo)

I supect that the "new" one that was put one there before i picked the car up was bad from the start. last night I took the car to his shop to get his opinion wich i value highly, he has not been wrong yet, He brought out this tool i do not know what it is call it is the same thing that the doc listens to your heart with but has a long thin metal rod in place of the peice that the doc puts on your chest. so any who we took a listen. one could defintly here where all the nosie was comming from. I did not have time to take the s-belt off but after a visual inspection it look in very good shape. so i figure i'll start with the pump and go from there, plus i hve to replace the left side transaxle anyway.

I used the varoius links to try and locate a p/s pump to no avail.
I aslo search through 20 pages trying to located a thread but have not found one yet hard to do here at work.
I'll keep looking though

If you really want to save some $$, then www.erievovo.com for USED parts. They do warranty their parts and are reputable, so you decide.
Make sure your mechanic knows to fill up the pump with Dextron III ATF and not power steering fluid in our cars.

Funny you should mention them. I found a listing for CUPHOLDERS on eBay that actually matched my interior color code and punched the "buy it now" button today. How did they ever make a car without a single cupholder?

Thanks for the advice.

I just had a thougt, so let me ask this question.

If regular p\s fluid is used could that damage the pump it self thus cuasing the noise? I do not think the "guy" my mother had replace the pump put the Dextron III in there I'll bet a hundred dollars he did'nt.

Why do we have to used the dextron III?

Dexron III/Mercon is a hydraulic fluid that meets a set of criteria for temperature breakdown, friction stability, and viscosity. You could probably get by with other hydraulic fluids but the engineers have determined Dexron is the best stuff to use. I woul flush the system and use the Dexron III and see if that would cure all issues.
